Phnom Penh: VisionFund Microfinance Institution hosted its very first study tour for students from the Quality Career Institute of Cambodia (QCIC) at VisonFund’s head office on 29 December 2015. The purpose of the study tour is to enable students to get to know more about VisionFund. The participants included management staff from both organizations and hundreds of students from QCIC.

Mrs. Top Sok Samphea, COO of VisionFund Microfinance in Cambodia said, “The collaboration between VisionFund Cambodia and the Quality Career Institute of Cambodia is exceptional in that it supports Cambodian youths who, in their pursuit of a better quality of education and brighter future, meet obstacles in financing the purchases of school materials. We invite these students to apply for an education loan from VisionFund at a very special interest rate of only 1.1%. With the loan, students can obtain Association Degrees, Bachelor’s degrees or Master’s degrees and receive vocational training at Quality Career Institute of Cambodia.”

VisionFund Cambodia annually recruits students as staff and interns to enable students to acquire knowledge and develop practical skills. Students at QCIC are encouraged to apply to work as staff and intern with VisionFund.


Both organizations believe that this study tour will help students to understand more about VisionFund and tighten the collaboration between the two organizations.

VisionFund Cambodia is a leading licensed microfinance institution with social missions in Cambodia. It provides financial services such as loans, savings and money transfers in all 25 provinces in Cambodia.

VisionFund employs more than 1400 staff and serves more than 270,000 families. with a loan portfolio of nearly $US123 million and nearly 50,000 savers  and almost US$23 million in savings value as of November 2015. This means that it provides a positive impact on nearly 870,000 children.
